Das dritte Circular Society Forum findet in diesem Jahr am 28. und 29. September 2023 statt.
Das Circular Society Forum bietet den Raum unterschiedliche Perspektiven auf Zirkularität kennenzulernen und zu diskutieren. Dazu laden wir Akteur*innen aus Praxis und Wissenschaft ein, ihre Arbeit zu präsentieren. Neben lokalen, regionalen und nationalen Bestrebungen werden auch internationale Diskurse betrachtet.
PROGRAMM
Für die analogen Workshops, Vortrags- und Diskussionsformate am Donnerstag konnten wir ein Bootshaus an der Spree und ein Konferenzraum vor Ort, im spreefeld in Berlin ausfindig machen.
Der Nachmittag widmet sich künstlerischen und hands-on Zugängen zu Zirkularität, Reparatur und Wiederverwendung. Am Abend präsentiert das Team hinter der Circular Society Roadmap die Ergebnisse des 1,5-jährigen, von der DBU geförderten, transdisziplinären Co-Design-Projekts. Bei der Panel-Diskussion im Anschluss diskutieren Circular Society Expert*innen die Potentiale von Roadmapping Projekten – auch mit Hinblick auf Beispielen aus der Schweiz, Deutschland und Großbritannien. Den Abend lassen wir gemeinsam mit einem Dinner und Drinks im Bootshaus an der Spree ausklingen.
Am Freitag werden ausschließlich digitale Sessions angeboten. Die Session am Morgen widmet sich der Frage, wie Verwaltungen die Circular Society im Lokalen angehen und umsetzen können. Zur Mittagszeit geben renommierte internationale Wissenschaftler*innen Einblicke in ihre Perspektiven auf die Circular Society – vom Aktivismus, über Postwachstum bis hin zu Fragen der Gerechtigkeit und Umsetzbarkeit.

Das Circular Society Forum 2023 ist wie in den letzten Jahren frei von Teilnahmegebühren und wird von der Hans Sauer Stiftung und der BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg getragen und organisiert, sowie durch die Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt gefördert.
The third Circular Society Forum will take place this year on 28 and 29 September 2023.
The Circular Society Forum offers the space to get to know and discuss different perspectives on circularity. We invite experts from practice and science to present their work. In addition to local, regional and national efforts, international discourses will also be considered.
PROGRAM
For the analogue workshops, lecture and discussion formats on Thursday, we were able to find a boathouse on the Spree and a conference room on site, in the spreefeld in Berlin.
The afternoon is dedicated to artistic and hands-on approaches to circularity, repair and reuse. In the evening, the team behind the “Roadmap to a Circular Society” will present the results of the 1.5-year transdisciplinary co-design project, funded by The German Federal Environmental Foundation. In the panel discussion afterwards, Circular Society experts will discuss the potential of roadmapping projects – also with regard to examples from Switzerland, Germany and the UK. The evening will end with dinner and drinks at the Bootshaus an der Spree.
On Friday, only digital sessions will be offered. The morning session is dedicated to the question of how administrations can approach and implement the Circular Society locally. At lunchtime, renowned international scholars will give insights into their perspectives on the Circular Society – from activism, to post-growth, to questions of equity and feasibility.
